The story follows (Jean-Pierre Bacri), a warehouse worker and aspiring novelist who returns to his small hometown in the South of France after his mother’s death. He inherits the family home and finds himself caring for his brother, Mo (Jacques Villeret), who has a mental handicap following a childhood accident.

Fane doesn't arrive alone; he brings (Pauline Lafont), a sensual woman he essentially "rescued" from an abusive neighbor. Their arrival disrupts the quiet, narrow-minded village. The local garage owners, the Voke brothers, covet Fane’s property to expand their business and begin a campaign of intimidation and manipulation against the trio. As the summer heat intensifies, so do the tensions, leading to a confrontation between the "outsiders" and the hostile locals. Cast and Key Performances l ete en pente douce 1987 ok.ru
