Start the Process: Click Upgrade. The system will begin reading the file and applying the update. Critical Safety Warnings

Regular updates are more than just a recommendation; they are a necessity for modern security systems. Manufacturers like CP Plus frequently release patches to address security vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers. Beyond security, firmware updates often improve system stability, enhance video compression efficiency (saving hard drive space), and provide support for higher-resolution cameras. If your DVR is lagging, rebooting unexpectedly, or failing to connect to the mobile app, a firmware update is often the first step in troubleshooting. Identifying Your DVR Model and Current Version

Connect to DVR: Plug the USB drive into the USB port on the front or back of your CP Plus DVR.

Prepare a USB Drive: Format a USB flash drive to FAT32 on your computer. Copy the firmware file directly to the root directory of the drive (do not put it inside a folder).

Select the File: The DVR should detect the USB drive. Select the firmware file you copied earlier.

Access Update Menu: On the DVR interface, go to Main Menu > System > Upgrade.
